Introduction

The municipality of El Piñero (267 inhabitants in 2009; 1,971 ha) is located 25 km from Zamora.

Description

The flag and arms of El Piñero are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 22 August 2006 by the Municipal Council, signed on 5 September 2006 by the Mayor, and published on 18 September 2006 in the official gazette of Castile and Leon, No. 180, pp. 17,295-17,296. The symbols are described as follows:

Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of three equal horizontal stripes with the colors of the coat of arms, yellow, green and red, the coat of arms in the middle.

Coat of Arms

Per fess, top, Or three pines vert, bottom, Argent on waves argent and azure a watermill proper on a mount vert a windmill proper, a bordure gules four pine cones or and four grapes. The shield surmountedby a Royal crown closed.
